Abstract

The results of modern research of lithosphere based on GOCE1 gravity data have been used for the first time to analyze the relationships between gold metallogeny and the deep crustal structure of the Yenisei Ridge. It has been shown that the Central Angara Block is divided into two regions: a western region with granitoid magmatism of the magnetite series and an eastern region, the Tatar-Ishimba zone of deep faults with granitoid magmatism of the ilmenite series. Gold mineralization is spatially confined to late Riphean orogenic granitoids of the ilmenite series, while gold deposits in the South Yenisei region occur within areas of an Early Proterozoic focal volcano-plutonic association. Metallogenic forecasting confirms the high potential for the discovery of new gold deposits in the North Yenisei and South Yenisei regions, as well as the Verkhne-Kutukas region. The obtained results can be used in regional metallogenic forecasting, prospecting, and evaluation of new gold deposits.
