Key Points

  • The aim is to conduct a Level II survey to document the historical elements of The Home Farm.
  • Conducted a Level II recording survey following Historic England guidelines.
  • Created photographic records of exterior elevations and all interior spaces.
  • Supplemented photographic records with annotations for detailed documentation.
  • The survey confirmed observations from the Heritage Statement and Impact Assessment.
  • A comprehensive photographic record captures both exterior and interior features of the site.

Abstract

The recoding methods used will comply with the requirements of a Level 2 survey set out in Section 5 of Understanding Historic Buildings: A Guide to Good Recording Practice (Historic England 2016), informed by the relevant parts of Section 4 of the guidance. The results of the level II survey confirmed many of the observations and conclusions from the Heritage Statement and Impact Assessment (Smith 2023). A photographic record of the exterior elevations supplemented by annotations to the drawn elevation has been made, along with a photographic record of all the interior spaces and features as appropriate. This recording confirmed the main elements of the development of the site.
