Key Points

  • The research aims to investigate how Joule heating and magnetic fields affect the flow of Casson ternary nanofluid.
  • Analyzed the behavior of Casson ternary nanofluid using partial differential equations converted to ordinary differential equations.
  • Applied Laguerre polynomials method to solve conditions of prescribed surface temperature and heat flux.
  • Evaluated the influence of Casson parameter on momentum and temperature during flow.
  • Increasing the Casson parameter significantly reduces momentum and increases fluid temperature by 18%.
  • Enhanced mass transpiration leads to decreased momentum with a rise in temperature.
  • Findings indicate potential applications in energy-efficient agricultural systems such as solar dryers.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of the current article is to examine the impact of Joule heating and magnetic field on Casson ternary nanofluid flow. Authors noticed that there is a dearth of analysis on Casson fluid in the circumstances of magnetic field, Joule heating, and second‐order slip. Authors utilized the research gap and considered partial differential equations (PDEs) that are solved to ordinary differential equations (ODEs) using similarity variables. Laguerre polynomials method is used to solve the prescribed surface temperature (PST) and prescribed heat flux (PHF) conditions analytically. Outcomes of the present work show that upsurging the Casson parameter reduces the momentum and increases the temperature by 18%; enhancing the mass transpiration decreases momentum and upsurges the temperature. These outcomes are valuable for design of energy‐efficient agricultural engineering systems, including solar dryers and controlled irrigation processes, the present research is significantly relevant to advanced agricultural thermal systems, where polymer‐based fluids like sodium alginate are widely used in agro‐processing applications.
