SignalRupture as Epistemic Substrate synthesizes the findings of the SR field papers—healthcare, government systems, universities, and large‑scale technology companies—to articulate SR as a substrate‑layer architecture rather than an apex interpretive theory. The paper demonstrates that modern institutions, despite differing missions and resource levels, exhibit recurring structural signatures: buffer compression, compensatory automation, downward regulation, fragmentation, visibility thresholds, and symbolic–operational divergence. By integrating these signatures through the SignalRupture Index, the paper shows that SR does not describe isolated inefficiencies but a cross‑domain structural pattern that emerges when system complexity outpaces adaptive capacity.
