Abstract

Abstract Aim: To assess the effects of speed, long-term, and super-speed sintering techniques on the mechanical and optical properties of monolithic zirconia. Settings and Design: An in vitro experimental design was used to simulate clinical procedures. Materials and Methods: Twenty-four monolithic zirconia fixed partial dentures (FPDs) were arranged in three groups ( n = 8) based on sintering protocol. Flexural strength, Vickers hardness, and translucency were evaluated using standard testing methods. Statistical Analysis Used: Data were examined using the Kruskal–Wallis and ANOVA tests ( P < 0.05). Results: For every tested property, the groups did not differ statistically significantly. Conclusion: Accelerated sintering protocols can be clinically adopted without compromising zirconia’s strength, hardness, or translucency.
