Abstract

This article examines how platform grammars reorganize institutional communication into environments of suspicion, using the World Economic Forum’s “Great Reset” as a key case. Drawing on a corpus of 3.7 million tweets (2015–2022), co-hashtag network analysis, and cross-platform triangulation, it shows how technocratic policy language around digital identity, sustainability, and Agenda 2030 is recombined into configurations linking global governance to elite control. Rather than emerging from coherent narratives or shared belief, conspiratorial alignment forms through patterned circulation: repeated adjacency, symbolic compression, and modular reuse across platform environments. To account for this dynamic, the article develops three analytic terms: conspiricization, modular conspiracism, and the Memeplex. Comparing pre- and post-pandemic networks, the analysis shows that alignment precedes narrative coherence, as platform grammars organize symbolic proximity at scale. Under these conditions, the high-tech paranoid style designates a cultural formation in which patterned visibility is read as intentional coordination.
