Sintering of Metal Nanoparticles by Local Induction Heating and Evaluation of Their Properties

SKShin-ichiro KOBAYASHI

Key Points

  • This research aims to optimize induction heating systems for effective sintering of metal nanoparticles.
  • Developed an induction heating system with self-optimizing resonant frequency for efficient heating.
  • Evaluated heating performance using metal samples and monitored resonant frequency adjustments during heating.
  • Attempted direct sintering of conductive silver paste using heat and assessed the outcomes.
  • Induction heating maintained stable temperatures by adjusting the resonant frequency during the heating process.
  • Direct sintering of silver paste failed to achieve conductivity due to low eddy current heating.
  • Localized heating with a soldering iron enabled effective sintering in a shorter duration, showing promise for future applications.
