Penile Cancer Associated With Hiv: A Case of Partial Penectomy at the Douala General Hospital

We presented the management of penile cancer probably caused by HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus). A 43-year-old male living with HIV/AIDS (Human immunodeficiency virus/ Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) who had a carcinoma of the penis. His clinical examination revealed an ulcerative granulating wound about 3 cm extending from the glans of penis across the corona of the glans to the dorsal part of the penis and no palpable inguinal lymph nodes. Para clinical examination is normal. The management consisted of a partial penectomy. Penile cancers have a low incidence in Cameroon. Very few studies show an association between HIV and penile cancers.
