Abstract

• Community geriatric assessment services (CGAS) were associated with at least 33% lower hazard of readmission among older adults living in residential care homes. • In this study sample, CGAS exposure was associated with approximately 12,895.4 HKD lower annual readmission costs per person, compared with an annual CGAS provision cost of 2,868 HKD per person. • Older age and greater comorbidity burden were associated with increased hazard of readmission.
