Abstract

The present study deals with the formulation and evaluation of herbal syrup prepared from Carica papaya leaf extract for dengue management. Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease that leads to a decrease in platelet count. Papaya leaf extract is known for its platelet enhancing activity. The prepared syrup was evaluated for organoleptic properties, pH, viscosity and stability. The results showed that the formulation was stable, safe and suitable for oral use.
