Solution of the problem of bilge and oily water separation can dramatically affect the reduction of the natural resource’s volumes used. It can also improve the quality of control over the state of the ecology and biosphere on our planet. In the article described a new approach which in comparison with other methods makes possible to eliminate the main problem of all separation technologies - the impossibility of obtaining a highly concentrated mixture of oil products. The article describes how to extract water vapour form a zone of stable supercavitation that was created with the use of ultrasonic and artificial ventilation. The main physical principles and methods for controlling the size and behavior of the cavitation cavern are considered in detail. Results has shown that with a use of ultrasound mode and artificial ventilation for cavity creation a number of cavitation can be descended from 3 to 1,5 in comparison with standard hydraulic cavitation. For the first time, a method for calculating the main characteristics of separation process was described and an algorithm for its use has been shown. Limitations for the channel depressurization process during removal of saturated water steam were described. An assessment of the efficiency degree for the bilge and oily waters separation process was obtained in experiments and numerical limits for the optimal range of separator’s operation were formulated. The best BOW purification can be achieved when energy efficiency takes its maximum values equals 83% with volumetric efficiency 10% and hydraulic efficiency 22%.
