Key Points

  • To highlight the necessity of verifiable trust in artificial intelligence systems instead of mere declarations.
  • Introduced the concept of the Open Audit Record for verifying trust in AI systems.
  • Emphasized third-party verification processes.
  • Discussed the implications of trust as a systems property.

  • Introduced a method for ensuring AI actions are auditable and trustworthy.
  • Presented the Open Audit Record as a framework for post-quantum verification.

Abstract

A vendor saying trust us, our artificial intelligence is safe and governed is worth nothing if you cannot verify it. From the responsible artificial intelligence pledges of this year to the breaches that exposed them, the lesson is the same: trust is a systems property. The Open Audit Record replaces declared trust with a record a third party can verify offline, without trusting the vendor.Originally published at https://mickai.co.uk/articles/trust-is-demonstrated-not-declared. Mickai is a Sovereign Intelligence Operating System; the Open Audit Record signs every artificial intelligence action before it executes, post-quantum and offline-verifiable. 101 filed UK patent applications, Mickai LTD (Companies House 17166618).
