Circular and collaborative economy models in the digital era to strengthening sustainability through technological innovation

This study addresses the need to rethink traditional economic models considering current economic, social, and environmental challenges, proposing paradigms that integrate innovation and sustainability. The collaborative economy and the circular economy are presented as alternatives to the linear model, with significant potential to transform business practices. Through a qualitative, exploratory-descriptive design, the research analyzed forty-three references to identify synergies between both economies and their implications for sustainable business models. Findings reveal coinciding strategies that reinforce each other, enabling the proposal of a regional innovation model that combines theoretical insights with practical applications for sustainable development. A key contribution is highlighting how digital platforms and technological innovation act as catalysts of this convergence, fostering resource efficiency, value creation, and sustainable entrepreneurship. By leveraging tools such as sharing platforms, traceability systems, and e-commerce, organizations can accelerate the adoption of circular and collaborative models aligned with the dynamics of the digital era.
