Entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized as a key driver of employment generation and economic development, particularly in developing economies such as India. In recent years, entrepreneurship education has gained growing importance within higher education institutions as an effective means of equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to initiate and manage business ventures. Colleges and universities play a vital role in nurturing entrepreneurial mind-sets by encouraging creativity, innovation, and opportunity recognition among students. This study examines the relationship between entrepreneurship education and employment generation, with special emphasis on the role of colleges in promoting entrepreneurial thinking and venture creation among graduates. The study is based on secondary data collected from government reports, academic publications, and policy documents. The findings indicate that entrepreneurship education enhances entrepreneurial orientation, supports self-employment opportunities, and contributes to sustainable economic growth.
