Abstract

This article examines the linguocultural and cognitive characteristics of phraseological units in the Uzbek language within the framework of the anthropocentric paradigm of modern linguistics. The study analyzes the role of phraseological units in reflecting the national mentality, culture, traditions, and values of the Uzbek people, as well as their relationship with conceptual structures in human cognition. Furthermore, the semantic, pragmatic, and cognitive features of phraseological units are explored through contemporary linguistic approaches, and their functional potential in discourse is scientifically substantiated. The findings reveal that phraseological units are not merely stable lexical combinations but also significant linguocultural and cognitive means that embody the cultural memory, mentality, and worldview of the Uzbek people
