Abstract

This document is a Section 106 letter report for an archaeological survey performed in support of a proposed communication line near Point Pedernales on the South Base of Vandenberg Air Force Base. Based on the surface survey conducted along two possible routes for a communication line it was determined that the proposed project will impact significant cultural resources. Option 1 Route will impact portions of SBA-539, 669, and 212. Option 2 Route will impact portions of SBA-212 and 1145. Of these sites, SBA-212 and 1145 have been deemed eligible for inclusion on the NRHP. SBA-212 and 669 have not yet been evaluated for inclusion.
