This project is part of a series of shoreline restoration projects on Eglin Air Force Base (Eglin AFB) property, along the northern shore of Choctawhatchee Bay. A living shoreline concept was used to establish oyster bar and salt marsh habitat that will serve to stabilize severely eroded shoreline resources. Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance (CBA) completed this work, conforming to the most efficient and effective restoration science practices at the time.
