This study examines how perceived organisational support, compassion, self-healing, and psychological well-being (PWB) collectively shape workplace experiences in Vietnam, addressing a critical gap in Human Resource Development (HRD) research. While global interest in well-being and workplace spirituality is rising, their intersection remains underexplored in non-Western contexts. Vietnam’s socio-cultural distinctiveness—rooted in collectivism, hierarchy, and spiritual traditions—requires context-sensitive analysis. Guided by Organizational Support Theory (OST) and Positive Psychology, the study employs a quantitative design. Survey data from 314 employees across multiple industries were analysed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results show perceived organisational support as pivotal in promoting work-life balance and PWB, while also nurturing compassion. A strong interrelationship between compassion and self-healing further highlights their combined role in strengthening resilience. By embedding spiritual values into HRD frameworks, this research extends insights beyond Western-centric paradigms. The findings suggest organisations should prioritise holistic HRD strategies, including empathy-based leadership training, mindfulness programs, and inclusive work-life policies. Such approaches can foster spiritually supportive and psychologically sustainable environments. Ultimately, the study underscores the importance of compassion-oriented cultures and self-healing capacities as strategic levers for organisational development and employee flourishing.
