Key Points

  • This note proposes that the light cone acts as an active filter separating potential states from observable reality within a theoretical framework.
  • Conceptually reinterpreted the light cone's role in dimensional filtering within the UAT/UCP framework.
  • Analyzed the thermodynamic costs of transitioning from unmanifested to manifested states using constants like R_geom and kappa_crit.
  • Associated the findings with established theories such as the holographic principle and analogue gravity models.
  • Defined specific thermodynamic costs related to Bit 0 to Bit 1 transitions, including causal overflow and thermal calibration margin.
  • Identified processes exceeding the Ivancho limit as residing in an unmanifested domain, beyond the light cone.
  • Established consistency with known UAT/UCP constants despite the speculative nature of the findings.

Abstract

Speculative conceptual note proposing that the relativistic light cone is not a passive geometric boundary but an active dimensional filter that separates unmanifested potential (Bit 0) from observable three-dimensional reality (Bit 1). Within the UAT/UCP framework, the speed of light is reinterpreted as the processing rate of this filter, and the quantum measurement problem is resolved mechanically without invoking observer consciousness. The causal overflow (3. 3%), the thermal calibration margin (7%), and the geometric invariant Rgeom = 0. 2792 are reinterpreted as the thermodynamic costs of the Bit 0 -> Bit 1 transition. The note also formalizes the idea that the light cone marks the boundary of our dimension: processes exceeding the Ivancho limit (kappacrit = 4. 978) remain outside the cone, in the unmanifested domain. This is a theoretical exploration, not a validation. It is internally consistent with the published UAT/UCP constants but remains speculative and has no experimental confirmation. --- Although speculative, the idea is not isolated from mainstream theoretical physics. It resonates with analogue gravity models, where an effective light cone emerges from an underlying medium; with the holographic principle, where 3D spacetime is a projection of information on a boundary; and with Wheeler's "it from bit" philosophy, where physical reality is ultimately composed of information. The UAT/UCP framework makes these parallels quantitative through its specific constants (Rgeom, kₑarly, 7% thermal margin), offering a unified narrative that connects cosmology, particle physics, and quantum measurement. This document is uploaded as a transparent record of an exploratory conceptual idea. It does not claim to correct Einstein's relativity, nor does it provide empirical evidence for the UAT/UCP framework. It is placed in the public domain to establish priority of the idea and to invite critical discussion, in keeping with the principle that knowing the limits of a speculation is as valuable as knowing the answer.
