Dense, spherical, shell-structured bodies, measuring about 60 mμ in diameter, which were originally associated only with anopheles A virus have now been found in uninoculated Ehrlich ascites tumor cells. These bodies are found in the cytoplasm within the lumin of the endoplasmic reticulum and in some instances they seem to be attached to or to be formed from the wall of the endoplasmic reticulum tubule.
