Abstract

During the course of an investigation of the effects of alcohol upon velocity perception, distance heterophoria recordings were made for each subject at two stages of the experiment using an Orthorater. Alcohol was found to produce a relatively esophoric shift without affecting vertical phorias. These results confirm a number of previous studies using higher levels of alcohol and more refined measures of heterophoria.
