Abstract

A purified cobra venom factor consumes C′3 through C′9 in guinea pig serum without detectable effect on C′1, C′4, and C′2. In serum so treated, chemotactic material(s) for rabbit polymorphonuclear leukocytes is generated. This factor(s) has a molecular weight of about 15,000.
