Abstract

The superconducting heat-capacity anomaly of intercalated TaS₂ compounds is independent of the spacing between the TaS₂ layers when the spacing is varied between 3 and 30. We conclude that the entropy associated with the anomaly arises mainly from two-dimensional correlations.
