In particular, revealing the signals that mediate cellular growth and differentiation may provide novel tools designed for myocardial regeneration in patients sustaining ischemic cardiomyopathy syndromes. We attempt herein to provide a critical overview of recent developments of myocardial cell transplantation strategies.
