New robotic platforms were developed in the last years. Start to use a new robotic platform is something that raises doubts and challenges for the surgeon and the team. In this way, learning from the experience of other services is useful to avoid mistakes and better understand how to deal with this transition to a new robotic platform. Objective: Describe the safecity and early results during an initial experience of high volume Da Vinci's surgeon in the first cases during the transition to HUGO™ RAS platform. We also describe the trocars disposition and docking angles modifications to guide other urologists in their initial experience with this new platform. METHODS: Prospective Cohort of the first 20 consepatients underwent to robot assisted urologic surgeries using the HUGO RAS robot platform between May and July 2023. The outcomes evaluated were console time (minutes), docking time (minutes), hours of hospitalization, perioperative and early (<30 days after the procerure) complications using the Clavien-Dindo. RESULTS: The patients were underwent to simple prostatectomies (RASP), radical prostatectomies (RARP), partial nephrectomies (RAPN) and one cystectomy (RARC). In the first cases the trocarter's placement, docking and the bed assistant ergonomy were most important challenges. The patient position, trocater placement (Figure 1A and 1B - Da Vinci. Figure 1C and 1D - Hugo RAS) and docking arms angles must be modified and adapted to achieve the expected and reproducible surgical technique. After 3 cases of prostatectomies the docking and console time were close to the Da Vinci's technique. Partial nephrectomy was the most challenge adaptation. The RARC was the 16th HUGO™ RAS procedure no additional difficult was found and the patient was discharging five days after the surgery. The median console operative time of RARP was 107 minutes (60-184), RASP 93 minutes (60-125) and RAPN 105 minutes. All procedures were safe and completed with no major complications. CONCLUSIONS: The transition from Da Vinci Platform to HUGO RAS platform is safe and with good results since de first cases. To adopt new robot platform is mandatory a motivated and well-trained multidisciplinary team. Adaptations are necessary to achieve the same surgical technique and results. The docking position and the bed assistant ergonomy are the biggest challenges.
