Meir J. Stampfer is a Research Professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Professor of Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He is co-Principal Investigator of the Nurses' Health Study and a founding co-investigator of the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study and Physicians' Health Studies. His research focuses on the etiology of chronic diseases, particularly the role of nutrition in preventing cancer and cardiovascular disease.
