Stefan H. Hohnloser is Professor of Medicine and Cardiology at J.W. Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, where he is the head of the division of clinical electrophysiology. He received specialist training at Albert-Ludwig University in Freiburg and at Harvard University, Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. His research focuses on atrial fibrillation therapies and prevention of sudden cardiac death; he has led or participated in steering committees for numerous international trials including ARISTOTLE, RELY, and ATHENA.
