Steven M. Hollenberg is Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine and Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the Emory Heart & Vascular Center. His research focuses on microvascular and myocardial function, particularly the pathophysiology of shock, and he has contributed to guidelines such as the Surviving Sepsis Campaign and AHA/ACC guidelines on heart failure and percutaneous coronary intervention.
