Alexander Niessner is a Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Medical University of Vienna and Head of the 2nd Medical Department with Cardiology and Intensive Care at Klinik Landstraße, part of the Wiener Gesundheitsverbund. He serves as Senior Physician and Deputy Head of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at MedUni Vienna's Division of Cardiology. He has contributed to multiple European Society of Cardiology guidelines on topics such as acute myocardial infarction and chronic coronary syndromes.
