Dr. Martin G. Myers is a consultant cardiologist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and a professor of medicine at the University of Toronto. He developed an interest in hypertension during a research fellowship in clinical pharmacology at Hammersmith Hospital in London and introduced 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring to Canada in 1985. He has contributed to guidelines for blood pressure measurement and participated in national and international hypertension organizations.
