Petar Alaupovic

Petar Alaupovic, PhD (1923–2014), was a biochemist and lipidologist at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) in Oklahoma City, where he joined the Cardiovascular Section in 1960 and headed the Lipid and Lipoprotein Laboratory. He developed a classification system for lipoproteins based on apolipoprotein composition and conducted research on their roles in metabolism and cardiovascular disease. He earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Zagreb in 1956.
