Edward Carmeliet

Edward Carmeliet (1930–2021) was Professor Emeritus at KU Leuven in Belgium. He studied medicine at KU Leuven from 1948 to 1955 and obtained his PhD there in 1961. He conducted research in cardiac electrophysiology at KU Leuven for decades until his retirement.
