Falk is a Full Professor at the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), University of Quebec, where he serves as the scientific head of the Multimedia/Multimodal Signal Analysis and Enhancement Laboratory. His research includes biomedical signal processing with applications to ECG and heart rate variability. He holds adjunct positions at Holland-Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and affiliations with the University of Toronto.
