He also serves as Professor and Associate PhD Graduate Program Chair in Molecular & Integrative Physiology, and holds professorships in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan. His research involves systems modeling and experimental approaches to study cardiac metabolism, mitochondrial function, and cardiovascular diseases.
