Terry Young, PhD, is Professor Emerita of Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is an epidemiologist specializing in sleep disorders whose research focuses on the natural history of sleep apnea and its associations with cardiovascular and other morbidity, based on the Wisconsin Sleep Cohort Study which she initiated. She has authored key publications on the prevalence and consequences of sleep-disordered breathing in middle-aged adults.
