Jeffrey L. Carson, MD, is Provost, New Brunswick at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences and Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Richard C. Reynolds, M.D. Chair in General Internal Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is a board-certified internist whose research focuses on determining the risk of anemia and indications for blood transfusion, including leading the MINT trial on transfusion strategies in myocardial infarction and anemia. He received his MD from Hahnemann Medical College and has held past affiliations with the University of Pennsylvania, University of Oxford, and University of Maryland.
