Myron D. Gross, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Minnesota and director of the Molecular Epidemiology and Biomarker Research Laboratory (MEBRL). He has led research applying mass spectrometry and biochemical analyses to biomarkers of oxidative stress, antioxidants, nutrition, and cardiovascular risk factors in large epidemiological studies such as CARDIA. Gross earned his doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota and has collaborated on projects involving institutions including Northwestern University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
