Kim Sutton-Tyrrell was a Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, where she served as vice chair for academics in the Department of Epidemiology. She founded and directed the ultrasound research laboratory and was the principal investigator for the NIH-funded Study of Women’s Health Across the Nation (SWAN) and cardiovascular epidemiology training program. Her research focused on subclinical measures of atherosclerosis, cardiovascular disease prevention, and women's health during menopause.
