H.J.C. (Jeremy) Swan was chairman of the Division of Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from 1965 to 1987 and chairman emeritus thereafter. He co-invented the Swan-Ganz catheter for pulmonary artery catheterization and hemodynamic assessment. Swan earned his MD and PhD from the University of London and previously worked at the Mayo Clinic.
