Katzel, MD, PhD is Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Associate Director for Clinical of the Baltimore GRECC at the VA Maryland Health Care System. He is board certified in internal medicine and geriatrics with over 25 years conducting clinical investigations on exercise, weight loss, and physiologic function in older adults. He has served as PI or co-investigator on numerous NIH and VA grants focused on aging, multimorbidity, and functional performance.
