John M. Canty

John M. Canty Jr., MD, is the SUNY Distinguished and Albert and Elizabeth Rekate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo. He serves as Director of the Center for Research in Cardiovascular Medicine and is a staff cardiologist at the WNY Veterans Affairs Medical Center. His work includes research on cardiac pathophysiology, ischemic heart disease, and translational imaging studies.
