Veronica Francis served as a research coordinator in the Department of Medicine at the University of Cape Town and was affiliated with Groote Schuur Hospital. She worked as a clinical trial coordinator and senior specialist nurse in cardiac rehabilitation. She contributed to numerous studies on cardiovascular diseases in Africa until her death in 2021.
