ABSTRACT This study examines stakeholders' perceptions of sustainable development in the context of industrial tourism, an emerging form of cultural tourism that conforms to environmental policy and sustainability principles. Based on a sample of 405 Spanish tourists, the research applies partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS‐SEM) to assess how economic, social, and environmental dimensions influence overall perceptions of sustainability. The results reveal that social sustainability exerts the strongest direct and mediating effects, followed by environmental and economic aspects. These results highlight the importance of stakeholder engagement in sustainable tourism planning and governance, particularly in regions seeking to diversify tourism demand and enhance industrial heritage.
