In the article, the authors analyze new methodological approaches in understanding technical creativity; the issues of socio-cultural assessment as a philosophical and applied analysis of technology; it is shown that the social assessment of technology is a consulting tool not only at the level of technical expertise, socio-economic, state, environmental, but also axiological, one that reveals the value of technical creativity for man and humanity; оn this basis, a socio-axiological approach is proposed as one of the main ones for the analysis of modern technical creativity.
