Dolichophaonia de Carvalho is a mainly Neotropical genus comprising 27 species, including 25 from the Neotropics and two from the Nearctic region. Here, a diagnosis, habitus images, male and female terminalia drawings, an identification key, and distributional maps are presented. In addition, three new species are described from the following localities: Barro Colorado (Madre de Dios, Peru), Cananéia (São Paulo, Brazil), and Monteverde (Puntarenas, Costa Rica).
