This study explores the literature on design guidelines for circular packaging, aiming to identify solutions that promote a sustainable circular economy. Using a Systematic Literature Review, the research analyzed the Web of Science, Scopus, and ScienceDirect databases, as well as documents from organizations such as the World Packaging Organization and the Brazilian Packaging Association (ABRE). The results indicate that, despite existing proposals, the implementation of circular guidelines faces challenges, particularly the lack of appropriately tailored information to make these guidelines more accessible to designers. The study emphasizes the importance of a collaborative approach in the Product Development Process, involving designers, researchers, and industry stakeholders. The findings highlight the need for new product development models and clear design guidelines to facilitate the adoption of circular practices in packaging design.
