Abstract. The article analyzes the use and combination of different educational forms in teaching the elective component Modern aspects of clinical anatomy for postgraduate students of the second year of study in the specialization Surgery using the example of a practical lesson Modern aspects of clinical anatomy of the anterior-lateral abdominal wall. Despite the challenges that Ukraine has faced in recent years, the educational process in higher medical education institutions continues both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The introduction of elective components into the educational process of postgraduate education involves the formation of the necessary general and professional competencies in postgraduate students which are the basis for the formation of a future highly qualified specialist and scientist. This can be achieved not only by having the necessary modern educational and methodological support, which is necessary for the successful teaching of this elective component, but also by combining it with other educational forms of conducting practical classes. In our practical classes, in addition to dummies and tables, we used cadaveric material, which develops a spatial understanding of an organ or organ system; an electronic anatomical table, which makes it possible to use a three-dimensional image of anatomical atlases, in 3-D mode, in the reconstructed plane and the cross-sectional plane. In addition, volunteers who were ready to demonstrate the topographic and anatomical areas of their bodies were invited to the practical class. The combination of various educational forms when teaching the elective component ensures the necessary development of general and professional competencies in postgraduate students, which is the basis for their acquisition of specialization and profession.
