Ayurveda, is the the ancient Indian system of medicine, offers a holistic perspective on human health, deeply connected with environmental elements. Modern environmental science focuses on understanding and mitigating ecological degradation and its impact on human life. Environmental degradation has become a global concern contributing to climate change, pollution and loss of bio diversity. The concepts of Panchamahabhuta, Ritucharya, and Desha highlight the ecological dependence of health and disease patterns. This article attempts to correlate the principles of environmental science with Ayurvedic doctrines, suggesting an integrative approach towards sustainable healthcare, disease prevention, and environmental conservation.The study reviews classical Ayurvedic texts, current environmental challenges, and modern research on medicinal plants, environmental pollution, and ecosystem health. It proposes a framework for integrating traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern environmental management for holistic wellness and sustainable development.
