Learning Management Systems (LMS) are widely used for distance learning courses, mainly due to their usability and the variety of tools they offer to the teacher for the organization and management of the course. These systems, however, have a major drawback. They do not consider a student’s learning style and deliver the same set of educational resources to all students. In order to adapt the course to students’ preferences, thedetection of their learning styles is required. This paper presents a method that was implemented for the automatic detection of students learning styles in Moodle as well as the results that emerged from its evaluation.
