Abstract The typification of Eupatorium rebaudianum (Asteraceae), the basionym of Stevia rebaudiana (commonly known as “Honey Leaf”), described from Paraguay by Swiss naturalist Moisés G. Bertoni, is discussed. The designation of a neotype is based on an analysis of original specimens preserved in North American, South American, and European herbaria, alongside diagnostic morphological characters, label data, protologue information, and Bertoni's botanical work. As a result, the specimen collected by Dr. Moisés S. Bertoni et Filii 5253 , currently housed at the SCP Herbarium of the Sociedad Científica del Paraguay (barcode SCP‐D00544), is designated as the neotype.
